Erel is the founder of JVP.  From its founding until January 2011, Erel served as the Managing Partner of JVP and helped build numerous technology companies that are today global enterprises with traction in Israel, the United States, Europe and Asia. In addition to helping to orchestrate the $4.8 billion sale of Chromatis to Lucent Technologies in 2000, Erel successfully led exists such as Netro (initial public offering, JVP subsequently sold its shares at a $5.5 billion company valuation), Qlik Technologies (initial public offering in 2010, JVP subsequently sold its shares at an average $2.4 billion valuation), Precise (initial public offering and subsequently acquired by Veritas), Scorpio (acquired by US Robotics), Fundtech, ViryaNet, Jacada, Cogent and Allot among others.  Since January 2011, Erel has served as Chairman of JVP.  In February of 2013 Erel began his tenure as an elected Member of the Israel's 19th Knesset (the Israeli parliament) as part Israel's Labor Party.  Prior to founding JVP, Erel was the Director of Business Development for the City of Jerusalem under its former Mayor, Teddy Kollek. There he was instrumental in facilitating the arrival of more than 70 technology firms to the city, including Digital, IBM and many others that gave rise to the burgeoning technology community that drives the Israeli economy today. Erel holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Columbia University

Gadi Tirosh

Gadi is one of the two General Partners of JVP (Jerusalem Venture Partners). With his strong background in media related software and internet based R&D organizations, Gadi oversees and leads JVP's investments in the media, web, gaming and application space. Gadi serves as a board member of Cyber-Ark, having orchestrated the most recent investment round by JVP, as well as Siano Mobile, Funtactix, ComQi and Playcast. Gadi’s track record in the digital media space has provided him with strong domain expertise in both the consumer infrastructure world and service provider needs.

 

Prior to JVP, Gadi was Corporate VP of Product Marketing and member of the executive committee for NDS, a leader in digital pay-TV systems, supporting some of the largest digital broadcast platforms such as DIRECTV, BSkyB, Canal Digital and more. In recent weeks it was announced that Cisco Systems was due to acquire NDS for $5bn. At NDS, Gadi established the business of digital interactive TV in the late 90s, catering to the likes of Sky Sports, MTV, Discovery, QVC and other leading TV channels.

 

Prior to NDS, Gadi held a variety of positions in software and Internet-based R&D organizations, including Director of Product Marketing at ServiceSoft Corp.

 

Gadi holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics as well as an Executive MBA from the Hebrew University.

In his earlier position as COO and then as President of Saifun, then a publicly listed company on NASDAQ, Kobi was responsible for forming and executing the company’s business strategy, spearheading the company’s evolution from a start-up into a dominant, market leading, global IP company. Prior to joining Saifun, Kobi served for over a decade as Managing Director, Director of Operations and VP of Business Development at Kulicke and Soffa Industries, a leading supplier of equipment for the semiconductor industry. Kobi also served as Manager of Financial Planning and Control at Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT), a global Israeli defense electronics supplier. Kobi holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Management and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technion - The Israel Institute of Technology.

Software Solutions, a JVP portfolio company and a provider of business and e-commerce application performance management solutions, Haim developed Precise from its founding in 1990 through a successful IPO in 2000.  In 2003, Precise was acquired by Veritas for $609 million (then NASDAQ: VRTS).  With vast experience and contacts in the fields of enterprise software, storage, data and content management, and security technologies, Haim is an invaluable resource for JVP’s current portfolio and investment team, providing thought leadership and resources for business development. Haim is a board member of JVP’s portfolio companies Qlipso, Navajo, Leadspace, CrossReader, TOK and Earnix.

 

Before joining Precise, Haim was a consultant with SCP Systems, and a systems analyst for the Israeli Defense Forces.  With over 20 years of high-tech experience, Haim’s reputation and in-depth knowledge of the sector helped to make Precise an industry leader.  In his capacity as venture partner, Haim is instrumental in finding and evaluating new investments within his areas of expertise, as well as providing guidance to JVP and its entire portfolio.

 

Haim served as a board member of JVP Portfolio companies Zoomix, which was acquired by Microsoft in July 2008, and Navajo Systems, which was acquired by Salesforce.com in August 2011.

 

Haim holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Bar Ilan University, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Raffi is a seasoned Israeli executive with over 20 years of experience in semiconductors and new materials. He uses his expertise to advise JVP in communication software, semiconductors and security sectors. Widely considered an expert in his field, Raffi serves as Senior Vice President of NDS, recently acquired by Cisco, and General Manager of its Israeli business. At NDS, Raffi is responsible for leading a highly successful company that focuses on pay television technology, video encryption, and other security applications as well as being a pioneer in the iTV and PVR technology for satellite and cable communication. The company currently employs several thousand employees both in Israel and worldwide.

 

Prior to joining NDS, he spent 5 years as VP of Operations and Production of Imaging Products at Indigo where Raffi was responsible for production output of sophisticated imaging products, logistics, budget control and interaction with key customers. Previously, Raffi worked at Intel, where he held several engineering and managerial positions, including Process engineering, integration of advanced technologies, deployment of state of the art equipment and human resources managerial activities. During his 11 years at Intel, Raffi won numerous awards for his forward thinking and problem solving. Among these awards is the international achievement award for the development of an improved process that doubled the yield of the 80386 chip. Prior to joining JVP, Fiona was VP at CCG Investor Relations Israel, directly responsible for running the IR programs for companies with market capitalizations ranging from $50 million to $4 billion in a broad variety of industries.

 

Before joining CCG, Fiona served as Vice President of Koor Industries (then NYSE: KOR), a leading Israeli Holding Company active in a variety of industries, as a member of the Executive Management Team.

 

Fiona also held the position of Partner in Koor Corporate Venture Capital, Israel's largest corporate venture capital fund which invested in early stage technology and medical device companies, as well as having a comprehensive Fund of Funds portfolio.

 

Prior to that, Fiona served as financial analyst in Koor's Mergers and Acquisitions Department and as a Junior Analyst for the Private Equity Fund Renaissance Management.

 

Fiona holds a BA in Finance and Computers, and an International Executive MBA from the joint Tel Aviv - Northwestern Universities' program.

Prior to joining JVP, Yoav headed Altus Media Ltd., a venture capital consulting business and ahead of that, spent five years as General Manager/COO and CMO of Exent Technologies leading its strategy, business and operations in the space of video games digital distribution. Exent pioneered the space, while working with multiple industry leaders, including Verizon, Comcast, Intel, CBS, Time Warner and France Telecom. Prior to this, Yoav spent five years with TeleKnowledge, an innovator in  business support systems, with which he held multiple executive level positions, helping develop telecom value-added services and digital media strategies for Telefonica, Yahoo, Listen.com, StarMedia and others.

 

 

Yoav spent six years in the Israeli Air Force, managing mission critical development projects including in the "enterprise" control, command & security space, and is a decorated officer.
