Marketing Director - for one of our startup companies

About The Position

The ideal candidate will be a proven, results-oriented leader with a history of driving demand in a hyper-growth public cloud, datacenter, infrastructure software, or cyber security company. S/he will have a successful track record as a category creator and thought leader in high growth B2B companies. This individual has built and scaled an enterprise marketing organization and hired/led a team of “A” players, while successfully elevating a brand. 

This is a “full-stack” and global role encompassing brand, demand generation, communications and product marketing. You will partner with the revenue team to drive ARR growth and increase customer engagement and advocacy. 

❖     Develop strategic marketing plans to achieve company goals including market and competitive positioning, brand development, ideal customer profiles, personas, budgets, pricing, packaging, and promotions.

❖     Work closely with the COO/CFO to create a strong corporate culture and employer brand that attracts top talent around the world.

❖     Strategize & collaborate with our Sales leader to achieve growth and customer adoption targets through direct sales, channels, and product-led growth. Own the pipeline and ensure that it can support the company's ARR goals. Create and execute demand generation, channel partner programs, and life-cycle marketing across global markets. Improve conversion across lead generation channels working cross-functionally to determine lead quality, quantity, and cost structure.

❖     Build and lead a “product led” marketing approach - collaborate with product, engineering, sales and customer success to make the product itself a primary driver of customer acquisition, adoption, and growth. Build a digital marketing motion to enable customers to “self-sell,” and align with sales and customer success to optimize conversion and customer onboarding. Implement rapid feedback cycles for continuous improvement.

❖     Build and deliver a compelling company and product narrative through global communications programs, including social, PR, analyst and influencer relations, events, and advertising. Develop engaging content aligned with the sales cycle to be used across all lead generation channels. Enable and empower all Morphisec employees, customers, partners and investors to be effective brand advocates.

❖     Gather, analyze, and share market, competitive and customer intelligence trends to inform company strategies across products, sales, and marketing. Play a key role in defining and executing geographic expansion.

❖     Develop product messaging and content to enable sales and channel teams to attract and win customers and reduce sales cycles. Support sales enablement.

❖     Hire, develop, and scale a world-class marketing team. Inspire with vision and guide with meaningful and aligned goals and objectives. Provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities to help each team member deliver their personal best.

❖     Build a modern marketing tech stack to support growth and scale, and a fast-learning cycle.

❖     Develop and share meaningful marketing metrics to communicate marketing impact, assess effectiveness, and support continuous learning. Identify areas for acceleration and improvement.

❖     Instill a learning mindset within the team. Encourage curiosity, innovation, a test and learn approach.

 

Requirements

❖     10+ years of well-rounded modern marketing experience in positions of increasing responsibility. Ideally a combination of large companies and emerging growth companies -  Must

❖     Familiar with the Global Infrastructure software markets, SaaS models and how to utilize data insights & analytics to deliver superior, personalized customer experiences and measurable business results – Must .

❖     Exposure to all facets of global marketing, including Demand Generation, Sales Support/Enablement, Channel Marketing, Branding, Strategy, Messaging, Marketing Programs, Market Communications, Public Relations, and Analyst Relations- Must.

❖     Proven success record of partnering with sales to drive lead generation and ARR growth while driving reductions in the cost of sales and time to close.

❖     Track record of building a metrics-driven, highly accountable marketing organization focused on measurable outcomes. Strong analytical expertise including measuring both lead and lag measures such as #MQL's, #SQL's, $ value of pipeline created.

❖     Proven experience in shifting from a sales-led to product-led growth oriented strategy.

❖     Strong skills with new marketing tools & new technology platforms.

❖     Results-driven personality, Can-Do attitude.

❖     Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

❖     Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressure.

❖     Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education: Marketing, MBA.
