Head of ClimaTech Center
About The Position
Head of ClimaTech Innovation Center in the fields of Agri-Food-Clean-Tech.
The purpose of the innovation center is to encourage the growth and expansion of technological initiatives and startups in Israel's periphery. The innovation center will provide business services and infrastructures for employment and entrepreneurship, aiming to develop and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the Galilee. This center will be entrusted with developing professional programs to promote and support entrepreneurship. The Head of the ClimaTech Center will establish, lead and manage the entire activity.
As the Head of ClimaTech Center, you will lead entrepreneurs to develop game-changing solutions, guide startups with advanced technology to increase their connectivity and play a key role in creating the Northern Agri-Food-Clean-Tech ecosystem.
Job description:
• Establishing the ClimaTech Innovation Center in the Galilee; building the center's vision and work plan
• Scouting the startups and entrepreneurs that will take part in the center
• Carrying out and closing collaborations with professional partners in the relevant industries and academy
• Managing growth interfaces of startup companies in the Galilee ecosystem
• Budget management and routing according to the different project stages and the milestones of the innovation center
• Professional and managerial support of entrepreneurs and startup companies at the beginning of their journey
• Establish connections to key people in the high-tech industry, investment funds, and investors
• Recruiting and managing a professional team
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in one of these fields: Economics/Entrepreneurship/Business Administration/ Industrial Engineering - mandatory, Master's degree - an advantage
• Experience of at least 10 years in managerial and senior management positions in startup companies
• Previous experience in supporting and consulting entrepreneurs in technological companies and deep knowledge of the world of technological entrepreneurship
• Previous experience in managing complex projects in the fields of entrepreneurship, technology, FoodTech, and employment
• Contacts and networking in Israel and abroad with key people in the HighTech, FoodTech, BioTech industries
• Contacts and acquaintances in Israel and abroad with key people in academia
• Previous experience and familiarity with governmental, global, and academic innovation centers and in the FoodTech industry
• Experience and familiarity with the field of professional training in Agri-Food-Clean-Tech employment - professional courses, training, and placement centers
• English - high level
• Residence in the northern region, or willingness to move to the North – mandatory
