The Conference with the participation of the President of the State of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres took place on June 21-23, 2011 at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem, attended by approximately 4000 people from around the world. During the two and half days, 200 of the world’s best minds attended the Conference’s plenary sessions and remarkably diverse array of panels, dedicated to designing a better tomorrow.



Erel Margalit, Founder and Managing Partner of JVP took part in a Panel titled “My Vision of Jerusalem” which also featured Mayor Nir Barkat, former Palestinian Authority Minister Ziad Abu Zayyad, City Councilor Rachel Azaria, Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organization the Franciscan Order's Custodian of the Holy Land Father Pier battista Pizzaballa and Haredi leader and journalist Dudi Zilbershlag. Eretz Acheret editor Bambi Sheleg moderated the panel.



The Panel discussed Jerusalem –the capital of the Jewish nation and a holy city for Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike – the exciting, inspiring and emotionally stirring city for millions of people around the world. The panelist touched the different angles of the city which is also a hub of complexities: national, religious, economic and social issues afflict this timeless city. The participants in the panel approached these dilemmas and shared their personal vision for the future of the city and pinpointed the crucial decisions that will make the difference between a flourishing and a declining Jerusalem.
