45 of Ba'Kehila's motivated 18 year old volunteers arrived from cities and kibbutzim all over Israel in order to attend their first seminar as Bakehila's Shin-Shinim (year of service volunteers) at the JVP Media Quarter.
The purpose of the seminar was to start the year by introducing the shin-shinim to the processes the Israeli society is built upon, learn about the education and welfare systems, connect to Bakehila's objectives and create new productive ways to cooperate with children and their families.
The sessions during the seminar dealt with learning and understanding the school project called “OMETZ”, which cooperates with the Bakehila schools programs. The highlight of the activity was an introduction with Erel Margalit, JVP's Founder and Chairman, where they learned about JVP, the startup companies, Erel’s vision for Jerusalem and his great love and appreciation for them.
