December 21, 2011, JVP Media Quarter. Jerusalem Venture Partners and JVP’s community outreach program, Bakehila, held a magical treasure hunt for underprivileged Jerusalem youth, exploring the hidden wonders of Jerusalem along with the marvels of JVP’s world of hi-tech creativity.

JVP Bakehila is a non-profit organization created to serve as a catalyst for social mobility in Jerusalem’s disadvantaged neighborhoods, reaching over 3000 children a year.

Some 50 children from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Talpiot, grades 2-6, all from Bakehila’s afterschool enrichment programs, participated in this unique event on the first day of Hanukah. By gathering clues throughout their neighborhood, they embarked on an enchanted journey toward the JVP Media Quarter.

Once at JVP, the kids learnt about the world of hi-tech, creativity, and imagination. They visited three JVP companies – Animation Lab, an animated feature film studio; AnyClip, where users relive magical moments in any film imaginable; and Double Fusion, which creates new levels of gaming. The kids had the opportunity to interact with the creations of the innovative JVP team.

Bakehila staff along with the JVP crew accompanied the children along the way, as they experienced their own Hanukah miracle in Jerusalem.

The children were served a hot lunch which included “sufganiyot”, the traditional jelly donuts served on Hanukah, made and served by JVP and JVP Bakehila's founder Erel Margalit and members of the JVP team.
