SEPATON, Inc., the emerging leader in high-performance data protection appliances, today announced that Beijing GrandRole Science & Technology Development Co., LTD, a leading systems integration and computer software development company serving financial and telecommunications markets in China, has signed an agreement to resell SEPATON’s data protection solutions throughout the country. Several leading businesses have already purchased the SEPATON S2100 Virtual Tape Library (VTL) system including China Life Insurance Co. and PICC Property and Casualty Company, China’s largest property and casualty company. The S2100 is a high-performance, RAID-based enterprise data protection solution that delivers backup/restore speeds up to 10 times faster than tape systems.
Under the terms of the agreement, GrandRole will market, sell, and deploy SEPATON’s data protection products and provide integration and consulting services across China. By integrating SEPATON with popular backup software solutions from Veritas, Legato, BakBone, and others, GrandRole is now able to offer its customers a more complete and state-of-the-art backup and recovery solution. For example, PICC Property and Casualty Company is using the SEPATON VTL with Veritas backup software and China Life is using the SEPATON VTL with BakBone backup software.
