The agreement will see SurfKitchen's SurfKit Mobile data services platform extended to include Celltick's broadcast technology to update users' mobile phones in near real-time, while decreasing bandwidth requirements. Celltick's LiveScreen user experience increases consumption of mobile operators' services and can be used to introduce new applications via broadcast. Amongst other things, the technology allows subscribers to receive streaming news to handsets as and when it happens, as well as real time multiplayer games and mobile banking services. The companies will now coordinate their product offerings by integrating LiveScreen capabilities and a broadcast plug-in with SurfKit Mobile's client server technology.
