Ericsson Selects Celltick's Broadcasting Technology for Mobile Network Offerings |
 |
The Swedish communications systems provider Ericsson has signed a licensing and distribution agreement with Israeli-based Celltick Technologies.
Under the agreement Ericsson will incorporate Celltick's interactive mobile broadcasting system into its offerings to mobile network operators. Celltick's system, which currently supports GSM and GPRS networks, allows operators to bring value-added services and applications to users through continuous streaming of content directly to handset screens.
The two companies will also carry out joint sales and marketing activities, with Celltick offering support services to customers. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
