David Braunschvig, Senior Managing Director, Bear Stearns

In his role within the Technology, Media, & Telecom Group, David plays a senior role in the firm's global investment banking effort, particularly in Europe, with an emphasis on TMT. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, David was the co-head of Lazard Freres' Internet advisory activities. Prior to that, David was a director at Coopers & Lybrand's strategy consulting practice, where he was an advisor on telecommunications assignments and technology policy. David was also affiliated with Arthur D. Little, Inc., the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and was a Fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

David is a co-author of The Future of the Electronic Marketplace (MIT Press, 1998). He served as staff representative on the advisory council of Vice President Gore's National Information Infrastructure (1996), was committee chairman of the Information Industry Association (1990), and served on the commission of the French government that deployed the Minitel videotext infrastructure (1978).

Education: MA in Public Administration, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; Computer Science and Operations Research, University of Paris.



Alon Ironi, Co-Founder, Pres. and CEO, Siano Mobile Silicon

Alon served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at JVP in order to build the business plan and launch Siano. Prior to Siano, he was the CEO of Emblaze Semiconductor Ltd., a leader in multimedia chips for mobile platforms, which was sold to Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) in 2004. His previous management experience includes General Manager of Zoran Israel and VP Engineering of Zoran Corporation, in charge of the overall engineering activity of Zoran world wide. Alon has 15 years of experience in fabless IC management, product roadmap definition and strategy, SoC architecture and design, building and maintaining commercial relationships with European and Asian customers. He is experienced in leading the entire activity of a fabless IC company, including building its vision, mission, strategy and daily tactics and revenue generation. Alon has a proven record in building partnerships with market leaders.

Ygal I. Ozechov, Managing Director, Emerging Ventures Ltd. - Specia

Ygal's relationship with Erel Margalit goes back to 1992, when Erel co-founded Jerusalem Pacific Ventures along with Oxton International, a company Ygal established with three other partners. Ygal is currently Co-Chairman of the Board of Multimedia Polska S.A. in Kalisz. He has over twenty years of experience in managing investments in various industries, the last ten years being in Poland.

Ygal has been a director and advisor to emerging and established middle-market companies in a variety of technology fields. He was the founder and remains a shareholder and a managing director of Emerging Ventures Limited. Prior to that, Ygal was a principal of Berkley International Capital Corporation, where he managed equity and debt investments in 18 portfolio companies and generated and executed the firm's corporate finance business. This included setting up cross-border joint ventures on behalf of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Berkley, he was a management consultant with a strategic management-consulting group at Arthur Andersen & Co., and with Putman, Hayes and Bartlett - both international management-consulting firms.

Dave Schaeffer, Founder and CEO, Cogent Communications

Prior to founding Cogent Communications in 1999, Dave was the sole founder of Pathnet Inc, which raised $36 million in private equity and completed a $350 million high-yield transaction led by Merrill Lynch. Under Dave's direction, Pathnet successfully negotiated a $165 million vendor facility from NEC as well as a $2 billion supply agreement and supply facility from Lucent Technologies.

Dave has founded and operated a total of seven successful businesses, including the second-largest delivery and ground transportation enterprise in the United States with annual revenues of approximately $25 million and a property and casualty underwriter with $17 million in assets and $12 million in annual revenues. He has also developed 44 commercial real estate properties in the Washington D.C. metro area, retaining controlling interest in 23 of these projects.

Leenong Li

Leenong advises JVP portfolio companies on their China strategy. Within the investment team, Leenong focuses on media technologies, semiconductors & components and communications & networking. Regarded as "the representative of China's third generation IT leader" by a prestigious Chinese magazine, Leenong has nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in high-tech start-ups, R&D, marketing and international operations.

Previously, Leenong founded and spent six years leading Shenzhen Prosperity Systems, China's first online stock trading platform company, and one of the first venture-backed start-up's in the region. Under Leenong's guidance, the company took over 50% of the market share of the top-20 online stock brokerages and grew to a 150-person enterprise. From 1990 to 1996, Leenong held several technical and management positions at Quickturn Design Systems. He was instrumental in the company's Asia success, and under his leadership the company exceeded the annual sales target in the region for three consecutive years. In addition, Leenong contributed to the company's European establishment by recruiting and setting up subsidiaries in the UK, Germany and France.

Leenong holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and was qualified for the PhD program.
